Finding fossils gives us clues about what happened in the past. These clues not only teach but provide insight into the lifestyles and living patterns of the creatures that lived long before we did.

The Medium

This piece was made from 8 different sized canvases that were painted individually and then glued onto a big canvas that was painted black prior to the gluing. The entire piece was then sealed with glossy Modge Podge.

Artist Bio

Gemma Veldman lives in Cranbrook BC. She is a second year Environmental Science student at College of the Rockies. Gemma is going to continue making acrylic paintings as she finishes her diploma and then her Environmental Science degree.
